Very little to comment on in offshore markets this week beyond US corporate reporting season – the highlight of which came with a surprise quarterly profit from Amazon (AMZN) on Thursday night.

There was a small ruffle of the feathers in China during the week when state-backed steel maker Sino Steel missed payment on CNY2bn of bonds, but that seems to have been largely dismissed in significance for systemic risk.
